Mesquite’s Citizen Notification Service (CNS) is the City’s one-stop shop which works much the same as typical social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. However, instead of keeping up with friends or your favorite rock band, you can sign up to receive press releases or updates on events happening at your local park. Mesquite’s Emergency Management Division also uses the service to send out critical notifications during storm events or other disasters. The service is free, and it’s easy to sign up to receive text messages or e-mails.
